Driven by a desire to remind audiences of everything love has to offer, Rahael’s songwriting is a gift neatly bound by the melodies that score her words. Born in Vancouver, based in Toronto and with Eritrean and Ethiopian heritage, Rahael’s experience with music, theatre and running two bars informs how she approaches songwriting. Her love for country, country-pop and country-folk music powers her pen and has allowed her to be part of RBC and Launchpad’s entrepreneurship program and songwriting camp 'She Is The Music' where she was able to further refine her skills as an artist. A self-taught guitarist, Rahael takes an emotive and soul-baring approach to her songwriting, inspired by her personal experiences and guided by the ethereal moments love and relationships have to offer.
In 2022, Rahael is set to release a string of singles, her strongest songs to date. Themes of self-love, growth, and family, coupled with her heart-wrenching melodies will have the listener along, long after the songs have ended.

Releases
Stay Gold
In 2019, Rahael released her first single Stay Gold, recounting the beauty of
unbreakable friendships over a driving indie-pop riff. Memories like these have
become central themes in her music, allowing her audience to experience life in its’ sincerest form. Drawing from influences like Donovan Woods and Lucy Rose,
Rahael channels the most vulnerable parts of her soul to delicately craft stories in
her indie-folk, lovesick refrains.
