Rahael - Beautifully Black

Through songwriting, Rahael creates an immersive and cinematic world that celebrates the intimacy of love and the haven and comfort it offers. She began exploring her affinity for music at a young age playing the guitar, diving more into music through church and, as she progressed through school, joining theatre. After moving from Vancouver to Ottawa and finally settling in Toronto, her passion for songwriting crystallized. Garnering inspiration from artists like Donavon Woods, Lucy Rose, Angus and Julia Stone she began writing more music and refining her craft by participating in an entrepreneurship program and songwriting camp initiated by Launchpad and She Is The Music.
Now Rahael wants to bring the music she creates propelled by the traditions of country, country-pop and country-folk music to wider audiences. In 2022, Rahael is set to release a string of singles, her strongest songs to date. Themes of self-love, growth, and family, coupled with her heart-wrenching melodies will have the listener along, long after the songs have ended.

Releases
Stay Gold
In 2019, Rahael released her first single Stay Gold, recounting the beauty of
unbreakable friendships over a driving indie-pop riff. Memories like these have
become central themes in her music, allowing her audience to experience life in its’ sincerest form. Drawing from influences like Donovan Woods and Lucy Rose,
Rahael channels the most vulnerable parts of her soul to delicately craft stories in
her indie-folk, lovesick refrains.
